Several thousand exams are held at a higher education institution each year. Retendo Exam offers effective support for the entire work process, from ordering, planning and staffing of exams to scheduling invigilators and reporting.
Each department can itself enter and manage its own orders for upcoming exams and receive continuous feedback regarding planning, staffing and reporting. Exam orders can be copied from one term to another. If orders are issued in an external system, they can easily be imported either manually or via an integration. When students with special needs register, the order is supplemented with necessary information that will be needed later when planning.
Incoming orders for exams are planned for different dates in different venues. It is important for exams to be located in a suitable exam venue in order to meet the need for equipment or the needs of specific students. Exams can, if necessary, be divided up and spread over multiple venues. Students with special needs can be placed in their own room or in special locations in the venue.
Staffing of shifts requires a satisfactory overview of current shifts, their status and the availability and skills of the invigilators. Important information on the shift consists of which exam is to be held, what needs different students have and the ability to view change logs and write instructions for invigilators.

Invigilators are staffed on the shifts through a simple drag and drop function.
Hours when the invigilator is available are shown in green for a particular day and for the entire month.
All invigilators have their own login, where they can see their shifts, which other invigilators are assigned to the same shift and which exams are being held in the room. The invigilators can report future non-availability in order to avoid unnecessary staffing when they are not available. After completing a shift, the invigilators can report the number of students present and the time spent.

The exams held during the shift are listed here.
Reports that are used as supporting data in internal billing can be easily retrieved from the system. The reports show the time worked per invigilator, as well as the number of students ordered and present per exam.
An open API (Application Program Interface) exists for integrations of various kinds. If, for example, a separate ordering system for exams is used at the higher education institution, integration enables ordered exams and shifts to be sent from Retendo Exam to the ordering system.
